Parents may notice that their toddler or preschooler seems more curious, imaginative, verbal and analytical than their age-peers, though not necessarily more academically inclined. Young children who later qualify for gifted programs often show their high abilities in funny, messy, challenging, and delightful, “How did they ever think of that?” ways.
